Learn to play draughts
Find the jump that changes the game.
International draughts uses 50 dark squares on a 10×10 board, with 20 men per side. White starts.
Capture is compulsory
Men move diagonally forward and capture in either direction. Kings move along long diagonals. Always choose a sequence capturing the most pieces. Captured pieces remain blocking until the sequence ends.
Promotion and finish
A man promotes only if it finishes its complete move on the final rank. A player with no legal moves loses. Repetition and king endgame move limits can draw the game.
