Play your way
- Online with a friend: create a room, check the time control and share its invitation link. Your friend joins the same room through that link.
- On one device: take turns on the same board when you are sitting together. Local games belong to that browser; clearing its data can remove them.
- Against the computer: use the computer mode offered on a game's page and choose an appropriate opponent. The available modes depend on the game.
- Watch and review: explore live games or revisit moves in your game library. Replaying a decision is a useful way to understand it.
Learn one idea at a time
The learning hub connects rules, articles and practice. Read how a piece moves, try a short exercise in puzzles, then look for that idea in a real game. A puzzle is a focused position; a full game also asks you to manage time and make plans.
