Quick answer
Before registration opens
- Publish the organiser, tournament purpose, eligibility, registration process and fees (Article 14).
- Publish venue, dates, pairing system, time control, ranking method, applicable rules and prizes (Article 14).
- Arrange the venue, clocks, score sheets, brackets, accommodation and transport responsibilities (Article 15).
- Appoint appropriate arbiters and a Chief Arbiter; name deputies if needed (Article 16.1).
During the tournament
The Tournament Committee oversees proceedings, brackets and result records. Article 16.2 calls for visible, accessible results and prompt recording and distribution after each round. This administrative duty supports the arbiters; it does not replace their responsibility for a disputed game.

FAQ
Is a set of clocks enough to make an event WXF-compliant?
No. The regulations, officials, records and announced competition procedures matter as well. This checklist explains Articles 14–16; it does not certify an event.
